UTAH CWMU TROPHY MULE DEER 2016 – 14 HUNTERS KILL 14 BUCKS AVERAGE BUCK GROSSED OVER 180
Last September they hosted 7 trophy hunters and killed 7 bucks with an overall average of 188 gross points. In October they killed a MONSTER 271 INCH BUCK they had been getting on trail cam for the past 3 years, all nocturnal pics. They also killed 6 more bucks including a 187 and 186.
This small outfitter takes about 12 to 15 trophy deer and 6 management bucks off a 15,000 private acre ranch each year in northeastern Utah. Most bucks taken are right around that magical 180 inch class. They also take 3 or 4 archers every year with high success on the same quality of deer.
5 days guided 1×1 on the early September hunts is $10,000 or the last 2 weeks of October is $9,200. We prefer the early hunts while bucks are in the bachelor groups.
Hunting is done with the use of pickups and quads with good access, not terribly physical at an elevation from 7,000 to 9,000 feet. Hunters pay for their own licenses and y into SLC and rent a car. Airport pickup can be arranged for $200 per hunter round trip. Hunt MD310.
