OREGON COLUMBIA BLACKTAILS 2016 – 14 HUNTERS TAG 14 BUCKS

This outfitter has several private ranches to hunt in western Oregon near the town of Roseburg. This hunt is typically near 100 percent success.

2016 was pretty much a normal year with all 14 hunters taking home a blacktail buck. Average buck gross scores in the 110 to 115 class and top bucks go in the 120’s. Glassing with spot and stalk is the main hunting method.

5 day hunt guided 1×1 with bunkhouse accommodations and meals is $5,250. He normally takes about 15 hunters total from mid October through the rst week of November. The last 2 weeks are best for rut and this is not a physical hunt. License is $150 and over the counter tag is $420, no tax. One opening for 2017 at press time and 2018 is half full. Hunt CB101.
