NORTHWEST TERRITORY DALL SHEEP BACKPACK HUNT PAST 7 YEARS 177 RAMS 180 HUNTERS

In 2016 his 27 sheep hunters killed 26 rams, one archer scored while another did not. They took 3 rams over 40 inches.

In 2015 25 rams were taken for 26 hunters; the unsuccessful hunter was an archer, although 3 other bowhunters did score. 2 rams came in at the 40 inch mark.

Success was 100 percent both in 2014 and in 2013. Over the past 7 years this out tter has taken 180 hunters and 177 put their tag on a mature ram.

Rams have been averaging over 37 inches and just shy of 11 years old. This outfitter has an exclusive area encompassing 9,000 square miles and he is the only outfitter allowed here. This is one of the best dall sheep hunts in North America.

12 day backpack hunts are priced at $26,500 and some guides use pack dogs. Sheep hunts start July 15 and continue into early September. World class mountain caribou can be added for a $6,000 kill fee plus license and success has been near 100 percent.
