DO IT YOURSELF MERRIAM HUNT NEBRASKA 4 DAYS 2 BIRDS ONLY $700
This northwest Nebraska rancher/outfitter will allow you to hunt 4 days on his 4000 private acres for two Merriam gobblers for only $700. Hunters stay at a local motel and eat in restaurants at their own expense. An effective way to hunt this big country is glassing and locating birds and then hiking to them. If numbers continue to stay high he may allow hunters to take a third gobbler for a kill fee of $150.
The area is known as Pine Ridge country and has big ponderosa pines and canyons making this a very beautiful area to hunt turkeys. Hunts run from about April 15 to May 30 and early hunts could be cold. He will accommodate a pair of hunters or groups up to 4 and typically your party is the only hunters on the property. At press time 4 spots were booked with one remaining for late May. HCU’s Bob Wodzisz has been on this property. Hunt TU327.
