SEPTEMBER RIFLE RUT HUNT UTAH 15,000 FREE RANGE ACRES $7700 GUARANTEED TAG – NO DRAW 2016 – 24 HUNTERS TAG 23 BULLS

Last fall his 24 hunters killed 23 bulls and at press time they had 2 more hunters scheduled and we expect both to tag out on bulls as there were over 500 elk in the main area of the ranch.

This is a September ri e hunt that you could experience bulls bugling and chasing cows on a 15,000 acre free range private ranch in northern Utah. The ranch is in the CWMU program allowing them guaranteed bull elk vouchers, so there is no draw. This small outfitter takes a limited amount of hunters insuring high success. Bulls normally average around 270 gross Boone and Crockett points with the best just reaching the 300 inch mark.

In 2015 all 20 hunters tagged bulls ranging in size from 265 to 295 inches.

In 2014 20 hunters killed 17 bulls and the biggest bull of the season was hit and lost. One archery hunter passed and another ri e hunter had to leave after hunting just 2 days. Bulls ranged from 260 to 290 inches.

Hunts are 5 days from September 7 to October 6 and include small travel trailer accommodations, meals and 2×1 guide services for $7,700. Some years they will take a couple late season November elk hunters. They prefer 4 or 5 hunters per week. Hunting is done with the use of pickups and quads with good access, not terribly physical at an elevation from 7,000 to 9,000 feet. Hunters pay for their own licenses at $875 and y into SLC and rent a car. Airport pickup can be arranged for $200 per hunter round trip. Hunt EK310.
