This outfitter is if not the best, then one of the best in Australia. He has rights to some of the best water buffalo and banteng hunting and the prices are reasonable. Situated only 3 hours from Darwin, these hunts are pick up and return from Darwin Airport. Success has been 100 percent and dry season from May to September is always a great time to hunt big buff.
5 day 1×1 buffalo hunts are $12,000 or 2×1 at $10,500. Banteng hunts are $14,000 or combine them with buffalo for a 6 day 1×1 hunt at $23,000. Price includes trophy fees, guide, lodging in a comfortable bush camp, meals, hot showers with flush toilets and the use of rifles and NT International visitor permit. HUNT ARGENTINA 5 DAYS FREE RANGE RED STAG $5000 WATER BUFFALO $4000 AND BLACKBUCK ONLY $1300
This family operation offers true free-range hunting on about 40,000 acres located about 1 1/2 hours from Santa Rosa in La Pampa. Sea- son is March 1 to July 31, but prime rut dates are from March 10 to April 10, when stags are best known for their roar. They normally take around 8 hunters per week during prime rut. Tyical hunting day is up around 5:15, leave lodge around 6 and listen for roaring. Hunt until 10 or 11 then back to lodge for big lunch and a siesta. Back out for the evening hunt around 5 for spot and stalk while listening for roaring.
5 hunting days guided 1×1 for $5,000 and includes one free-range stag of any size. Second stag is $4,000, water buffalo $4,000, blackbuck $1,300, fallow deer $2,400, wild goat $700 and wild hog $1,000.
They also have a high fence operation on 5,500 acres where stags are priced according to size plus a $350 day rate.
We suggest booking at least a year in advance to get prime dates with a $1,000 deposit.
Hunters typically fly into Buenos Aires arriving in the morning where you are met by a representative to assist in customs paperwork and then driven to a nearby domestic airport for the 1 1/2 hour flight to Santa Rosa where you are picked up and driven over an hour to the hunting lodge, a country style house with 6 bedrooms of double occupancy with private baths and a large dining area. All meals and drinks including alcohol are included. Non-hunters are $200 per day.
Not included is license $400, gun rental $250, tips normally $100 and if bringing your own gun $120 for permit.

They also offer dove hunts in the Cordoba area, typically morning and evening shoots in- cluding a bird boy to reload guns and give assistance. Hunters can shoot 1000 or more rounds per day, but 700 is more comfortable. December to March temps run 75 to 95 degrees, March into June temps are 55 to 75 degrees, June into September 40 to 70 and September into December 65 to 80. Dove and pigeon season is open year- round.
3 days 4 nights, meals and beverages includ- ing 1000 shotgun shells is only $2,940 and includes hunting license, gun rental and bird boy. Extra shells are $15 per box of 25 for 20 gauge.
Duck hunts are conducted about a 4 hour drive from Buenos Aires airport to the lodge.
Thousands of acres where corn, wheat, sunflower and soy are grown and over the last 10 years the area has suffered great floods preventing hundreds of fields from being har- vested, creating vast duck feeding areas. Lodge ac- commodations within 30 minutes of hunting areas. The season runs from April 15 to July 31. April temps 65 to 80, June 40 to 60 and July 30 to 55 with more rain.

ARGENTINA #1 DOVE PARADISE
Argentina continues to be the number 1 destination for the serious dove shooter. This outfitter has 3 lodges in the Cordoba area, where he has the availability to match the hunter with the hottest current dove numbers and shortest drive times.
Ranch style accommodations along with spectacular Argentinian food and wine are the rule of the day. All liquor, beer and wine are provided. Attentive personnel, doing everything to make your hunt the trip of a lifetime. Very high numbers of birds along with top end bird boys. Seasons are year-round, but most hunting is done from February to May. They offer very attractive pricing for the months of November and December. They can accommodate up to 12 hunters and parties will not be comingled. Normal hunts are 4 days with 3 nights.
Most hunters fly into Cordoba a day early to relax and stay at a downtown luxury hotel. After breakfast, at the hotel and taken to your lodge that will serve you for the rest of your hunt. You will enjoy a light lunch, meet your bird boy, then go out to the hunting area for your first shoot. Then your hunt begins with wave after wave of incoming and passing birds. When your shoot is over, everyone will gather for relaxing refreshments and then return to the lodge for a short siesta before getting ready for supper. Appetizers and drinks are waiting for you to enjoy before the evening meal. The next two days will begin with breakfast and then be tak- en to your morning shoot. Hunting until lunch and then you will go back to the lodge, or your crew will do a BBQ lunch cookout on location. Afterwards enjoy a small siesta and then back to hunting until evening. The last day, morning as usual to the shoot then about noon returning to the lodge eat and back to Cordoba for your flight home. Additional days and excursions can be arranged for additional cost.
It is not unusual for hunters to shoot 1000 rounds a day, with some marathon shooters shooting closer to 2000. Again, this is your hunt, and you can shoot as many rounds as you desire. Most hunters rent their shotguns from the outfitter for $75/day as entering Argentina with a firearm can be difficult. Shells are $18.50/box of 25. 20 gauge Benelli and Beretta semiautomatics are typical.
