New Zealand

This family operates on 3 different ranches on the South Island of New Zealand and their main ranch consists of 10,000 acres. Success has been 100 percent for all their customers the past several years. They offer a 4 night package hunt with 3 hunting days for one hunter including day rates and trophy fee on stags scoring up to 340 SCI for $5,500. Stags up to 360 are priced at $7,500. 360 to 380 $9,500, 380 to 400 $11,500, 400 to 420 $13,500, with larger bulls priced on request.

They also offer tahr hunts for $5,500 and chamois at $4,000 plus day rates. Hunters will need a helicopter to reach tahr camp as road travel is no longer an option. Cost for the flight to base camp will be around $500 per hunter. Sometimes it is necessary to use a helicopter on chamois hunts and the charge would then be POA. Some chamois hunts can be conducted without the aid of a helicopter.

Early April is prime roaring for the stags and they also offer wapiti, fallow deer, arapawa rams, wild goats, turkey, ducks and great trout fishing. Additional days are $350 for hunters and $250 for non-hunters. Archery hunters have an additional charge of $150 per day.

Export permit and trophy packaging to be taken home with the hunter is $200. Crating and shipping is also available. Top notch accommodations and hunting makes this a great New Zealand destination. Free airport pickup at Queenstown, South Island. HCU’s Bob Wodzisz and Cliff Graham have both taken their family on this New Zealand trip along with additional sightseeing.
