#1 WYOMING PRONGHORN $3000
3 DAYS SPOT AND STALK
SNOWY RANCH OR LARAMIE RANCH

This is our top Wyoming pronghorn outfitter, and the reason is exceptional quality, very limited number of hunters, great overall experience and low price of only $3,000. He hunts 2 ranches; Snowy Ranch in Unit 45 has 20,000 acres and the Laramie Ranch in Unit 38 has 9,000 acres and is east of Laramie.

Currently we expect either ranch to require 3 or 4 points to draw the special or 5 points for the less expensive general draw.

2025 finished with 5 for 5 on the Snowy and 4 for 4 on the Laramie. Size improved to low to mid-70’s, 76 was best.

2024 with the draw points increase he only had 5 pronghorn hunters on the Snowy and 4 on the Laramie ranch. Everyone killed bucks, but size was down a bit due to a prolonged drought.

3 day hunt is only $3,000 guided 2×1 with nice cabin accommodations on his family owned Snowy Ranch with home cooked meals. Rifle season runs from September 15 to October 31. Laramie Ranch has motel accommodations and restaurant meals that are included and the rifle season runs from October 5 to 31.

We strongly recommend hunters to obtain preference points to use down the road. Points can also be shared with fellow hunters, by averaging them in the draw.

Hunters can purchase preference points from July 1 to October 31 so they will be available for future drawings. Go to the web and look up https://wgfd.wyo.gov and follow the simple instructions to purchase preference points currently priced about $33 for pronghorn, $53 for elk or $43 for deer. Call us if you need assistance. Draw deadline is May 31. Laramie ranch has openings for 2025.

Hunters fly into Denver and rent a car for the 3 1/2 hour drive or fly into Laramie or Cheyenne and pick up is free. HCU’s Cliff Graham and Bob Wodzisz have been on this ranch. Hunt PG558 and PG5586.

NUMBER 1 BOW PRONGHORN
MONTANA ARCHERY 4 DAYS $3000
RIFLE PRONGHORN 3 DAYS $3000

This longtime Montana outfitter has extensive properties with trophy pronghorn. The trophy quality is defined by very good genetics along with a very limited amount of rifle tags.

2025 his 3 archers killed 2 Pope and Young bucks and the third recurve hunter missed a 16”+ buck they later took in rifle season.

2025 rifle went 10 for 10, including the 16 incher and 3 more 15 inchers, lots of mid 70’s.

2024 archery he only had 2 bowhunters kill 1 buck. The unsuccessful archer was using a recurve and missed.

2024 he had 7 rifle hunters kill bucks in the mid-70’s with the best going 81 inches.

Archery season will start August 15 with the main hunting method is sitting on waterholes. Early in September it can also involve some spot and stalk due to the rut up until about September 22.

4 day bow hunts or 3 day rifle is $3,000 2×1 and include new lodge accommodations and meals. Pronghorn draw deadline is June 1. Archery tags are much easier to draw than rifle tags and PREFERENCE POINTS CAN BE ACQUIRED JULY 1 TO SEPTEMBER 30. Normally it takes 4 preference points plus you need to purchase an additional point with your application to draw an archery tag. It typically takes 5 points minimum to draw a rifle tag, but hunters draw every year the first time they put in. Hunters fly into Billings and rent a car for the 3 hour drive. Hunt PGB219.

NEW MEXICO PRONGHORN $4200
INCLUDES LANDOWNER VOUCHER

Here is a fun hunt with a great outfitter that has been in the business since New Mexico became a state. He puts up a pretty cool teepee camp with a couple flush toilets and a shower, basic but not all that primitive and the hunters really enjoy it. Success has continued to be 100 percent on bucks ranging from 13 to 15 inches.

He hunts two areas, one in northeastern New Mexico where he normally does about 10 hunters on 30,000 acres the last weekend of August. Hunters typically fly into Amarillo and rent a car. The other ranches are southeast near Roswell where he takes about 10 hunters on about 100,000 acres the first weekend of October. Here hunters fly into either Albuquerque or Lubbock and rent a car.

3 day hunts guided 2×1 are priced at $4,200 each plus license and tax. Guaranteed tag, no draw. Hunt PG11.
